NOMINUM crew was established by Arunas Matelis (b. 1961) in 1992, when he graduated from Theatre and Television Faculty of the Lithuanian Music Academy .  NOMINUM is basically focusing on creative documentary, which is based on Arunas’ idea of “total cinema or poetic documentary”:

"In the 21st century, genres do not exist any more and people do not get scared when seeing an approaching train on the screen. The truth and essence of the documentary/reality is not a fact but a personal impression it gives. Montage is not a way of narration but the form and architectonics of a film.”

NOMINUM films have been demonstrated in many festivals  in the world and received awards. Famous Lithuanian film-makers, such as A. Stonys, R. Lileikis, V.V. Landsbergis, H. Sablevicius. G. Skvarnavicius, A. Trukanas, D. Pirstelis and others created or still create their films in NOMINUM.
